FORMAT & CONTENT
Session times as shown on the Booking Form are start & finish times for the activity. A Schools Program or IndigifestOZ host will be at the venue to welcome schools on arrival and offer assistance as needed. Format or film guests can change due to unforeseen circumstances. If this should occur, we will endeavor to inform you as soon as possible.
Students and teachers may be asked to be involved in post event surveying. Feedback is welcome.

EQUIPMENT
Incursions - Workshops
Once your Booking Form is received, separate advice will be provided as to any equipment requirements or other considerations for the Incursion.
Incursions – Assembly Presentations
Film guest presentations can be tailored to the timetables, needs and equipment of individual schools.
PHOTOGRAPHIC CONSENT
Unless otherwise advised, it is presumed that any images of students or teachers taken by CinefestOZ staff, contractors or volunteers during the Festival may be used for publicity purposes (including photographs and videos of the workshops and the students participating).
EXCURSIONS - FEATURE FILMS
Arrival at the screening venue should be approximately 15 minutes prior to the session time, to ensure adequate opportunity for any purchases from the Candy Bar and to be seated.
Study Guides, if exisiting, will be available for download from www.cinesnaps.com.au by mid August each year.
To maximise the value of the excursion, it is suggested that teachers discuss the film with students prior to the screenings and Q&A, and to consider preparing some questions for discussion with the film guest.
INCURSIONS - WORKSHOPS & ASSEMBLIES
The duration of Incursion workshops can vary, but it is generally between 1-1.5 hours and can be tailored to suit the needs of individual school timetables. School Assembly presentations can be brief to meet assembly schedules.
Arrival of Film Guests will occur approximately 10-15 minutes prior. Film Guests will report to the Administration Office unless otherwise arranged and will need to be met by a school/student representative and escorted to the appropriate classroom.
Film Guests will be committed to quite tight schedules, so please endeavor to keep to session times as advised.
In most instances, Film Guests will be accompanied by a Cinesnaps Schools Program Team Leader to liaise with teaching staff and to ensure equipment and/or refreshment needs of the Film Guest are arranged. In some instances, it may be practical for Film Guests and the Cinesnaps Team Leader to be provided with basic refreshments (eg canteen options) by schools. If this is necessary, a special request will be made by the Community Manager and arrangements will be made in advance.
Mobile contact numbers of the designated teacher and Cinesnaps Team Leader will be exchanged to ensure communication can be made on the day if needed (eg where is my presenter, is he late? I can’t find the school, where are you?).
INCURSIONS - VIRTUAL

CLASSIFICATIONS
Classifications (or recommended ages) for the suitability of content for primary or high school students are shown in the Schools Program brochure adjacent to each activity. Sometimes features offered may be “Unclassified”. In these instances, CinefestOZ must register the Festival (and the unclassified films screening at the Festival) to the Classifications Review Board (ACRB). These unclassified films may be given a recommended Classification by CinefestOZ, which is not the official Classification that has yet to be processed by the ACRB. As a Registered Festival with the ACRB, CinefestOZ is permitted to screen
self-assessed unclassified films.
Film content is selected for suitability of attending age groups and will be classified as G or PG rating (suitable for all ages from Year 5 +) or may include M rated content (Years 10-12). Refer Australian Film Classification information online.
