Catch Bad Girl at Luna Leederville

After the WA Premiere at CinefestOZ in 2016, Bad Girl rolls into Luna Leederville on April 27, including a special Q&A event with Writer/Director Fin Edquist on April 28.

Bad Girl was the winner of the 2016 Western Australia Screen Awards’ Best Feature Film category and features WA locations including the Swan Valley, Kalamunda and Serpentine, with local WA producer Tenille Kennedy on the production team. Bad Girl centres around a dark friendship between two teenage girls, Amy (Sara West) and Chloe (Samara Weaving).

Following a stint in a juvenile corrections centre, Amy returns home to a house she doesn’t know, to adopted parents she doesn’t care for, in a country town where there’s nothing to do. She’s done something terrible and she’s capable of much worse.

Despite the love and support her parents provide, Amy plans on escaping. To make matters worse, local girl Chloe is everything she is not; in looks, manners and behaviour. Their attraction to each other is immediate and it will have dire consequences for all.
