CinefestOZ CEO Malinda Nixon acknowledges the industry program is an important part of the festival and a compelling reason for filmmakers to attend.

“As a direct result of previous programs and the festival, seven films have been made in the South West Region of WA in the past five years and at least a further seven are in development or pre-production at the present time.
