Community Screenings Packed with Variety

Desert War and Show Me the Magic join the CinéfestOZ documentary line-up in an expanded festival program that will see FREE community screenings of short films and documentaries held in Busselton, Bunbury, Margaret River and Augusta.

Desert War

Desert War is a compelling two part documentary drama series.  This is an exciting and insightful account of one of the most celebrated campaigns of the Second World War.

Centered on the siege of Tobruk and the battle for El Alamein, this two-part series peels back the official history to reveal jaw-dropping personal stories from the front lines, brought to life in searing drama documentary footage. It also explores the complex links between political leaders, senior commanders and intelligence services, which continually influenced the campaign.

Directed by veteran documentary director Steve West and featuring interviews with the men who fought in one of the most famous battles in Australia’s military history, as well as celebrated historians, Desert War is a must see for all Australians.

Show Me the Magic

Show Me the Magic is joins the CinèfestOZ Community Screenings lineup. This film celebrates the life and work of legendary Australian cinematographer Don McAlpine.
