Dr. Jonathan Messer is a producer/director working in drama, music videos and documentaries. He is currently employed as the Diversity and Inclusion Manager at Screenwest. He holds a PhD from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and holds directing degrees from the American Film Institute (AFI) and the National Institute of Dramatic Art.His most recent documentary work: ‘It’s Not Just Me’ won Best LGBT Feature Documentary at the Atlanta Docufest. He has previously worked for the BBC as an assistant director on such shows as ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ and ‘Top of the Pops’, and has also worked for the Kennedy-Marshall Company in Los Angeles on ‘Seabiscuit’ and ‘The Bourne Supremacy’.
