Emilia Jolakoska is an award-winning Western Australian film and television producer. Her most recent comedy series MOLLY AND CARA can be seen on SBS on Demand. The odd-couple comedy stars Rurriwuy Hick (Cleverman, Black Comedy) and Lynette Curran (Somersault, The Boys). She also recently premiered her Screenwest Elevate 70K short film, an epic female-led suspense drama called IN AUSTRALIA at St Kilda Film Festival 2021.Emilia was selected as one of the Screen Producer Australia’s prestigious “Ones to Watch” program in 2019, mentored by Causeway films. In 2019, her festival lauded short comedy series, CALLING, toured nationally with the Oscar qualifying Flickerfest Film Festival and is now available to watch on SBS on Demand as part of the 30 Years of Flickerfest Best of Australian Shorts. The delightful mother-daughter comedy has played at numerous local and international festivals including Adelaide Film Festival, Cinefest Oz and Revelation International Film Festival.Emilia has produced numerous award-winning short films including STILL TAKE YOU HOME, BLUE and THE FAN, which was nominated for a record-breaking nine WA SCREEN AWARDS, winning Best Film. THE FAN has been distributed by Ouat Media (Toronto) and has screened nation-wide on both France Televisions and Rai in Italy and is currently available on iTunes.As well as creative producing, Emilia has extensive experience in production and post-production across multi-platform film, television and advertising productions. Currently producing for Rhythm Content, she has also worked in house for companies such as Siamese, Media World and Mad Kids. She has an undergraduate degree in film and television and a post-graduate diploma in education both from Curtin University. A passionate advocate for women in the industry, Emilia is the WA Chair of WIFT Australia.
