Sam Siversson

Sam Siversson is a Swedish-born director and writer with a passion for social impact and hybrid genre films. In 2019, Sam wrote and directed the award-winning short documentary, Kia Kaha, which won Best Short Documentary at the AFIN International Film Festival in 2020. While she loves documentary, Sam’s true passion lies in narrative fiction, having written the award-winning 2019 short thriller, Gone, which has screened in numerous festivals both locally and around the world, and was nominated for Best Student Film (alongside Kia Kaha) at the 2020 AFIN International Film Festival. Sam is currently completing her Masters in Directing at the WA Screen Academy, after which she hopes to launch her career as a feature film director.
