The spotlight was on WA films for the free Community Screenings, which this year expanded to six screening locations to include Nannup.
A great selection of films shot across the state were on show including a double feature screening of family favourites Red Dog and Red Dog:True Blue. Additional titles included Australian classic Satellite Boy, Sue Brook’s beautiful Looking For Grace and CinefestOZ 2015 Film Prize Winner Paper Planes. The Scott Hicks film, The Boys Are Back, gave the chance for audiences to experience the 2017 CinefestOZ Screen Legend’s past work.
CinefestOZ audiences also had the chance to see the Cinesnaps 2017 Short Film Competition Finalists, an excellent display of short films produced by high school students across the South West.
