Join us for the second CinefestOZ Broome, WA’s First Nations Film Festival proudly presented with Goolarri Media! Unfolding from 26- 29 October 2023, enjoy a four-day immersive film experience in the gorgeous Kimberley.
Set in the centre of Broome, the inaugural festival comprises a mix of feature film screenings and special events spread across cinemas and venues. The festival will celebrate the importance of on-screen storytelling in connecting communities and fostering reconciliation in the Kimberley and beyond, giving attendees the opportunity to experience in- conversation filmmaker discussions centered around championing First Nations stories.
CinefestOZ and Goolarri Media respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather, the Yawuru people. We recognise their continued connection to country of this beautiful place and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. We show our respect to the Elders and Ancestors of the First Nations people that are a part of our Festival and celebrate the traditional and contemporary storytelling of the oldest living culture.
