We believe cinema should be accessible to all and are proud to champion filmmakers, creatives and audiences from diverse backgrounds, cultures and lived experiences. Whether you’re attending a screening, industry event or community program, our team is here to help make your festival experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

CinefestOZ Ticketing team can assist anyone who:

• Requires ticketing information
• Ticket booking assistance
• Booking close captioned sessions
• Requires specific accessibility information for each venue
• Requires extra assistance when at a venue, including avoiding waiting in queues and busy environments
• Has specific seating requirements
• Uses a mobility aid
• Requires a complimentary companion card ticket to attend a performance.

CineFriendly Sessions

Our CineFriendly screenings are designed to provide a more relaxed cinema experience for parents, carers and anyone who may benefit from a less formal screening environment.

These sessions feature: reduced sound levels, dim lighting, a welcoming environment where audience members can move around if needed and a relaxed atmosphere designed to make cinema more accessible for everyone.

ON DEMAND ACCESSIBLE SCREENINGS

CinefestOZ is pleased to offer accessible screenings on demand where possible. If you or your organisation would like to arrange an accessible screening, including for community groups, schools or support services, please contact our Box Office team.

We’ll work with you to explore available screening options and do our best to accommodate your requirements. Please note that these bookings require a minimum of 6 people to confirm these bookings.

Companion Cards 

A valid Companion Card or valid Companion Card Number must be produced at the time of the booking to gain access to the Companion Card Scheme offer. Details of use are contained on the Companion Card website. For bookings made online via the CinefestOZ website please email [email protected] with details of the tickets purchased to enable a Companion Card ticket to be issued for the same session/s.
