Attending the CinefestOZ Film Festival is an exciting and enriching experience. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you make the most of it.

Step 1: Plan Ahead
– Check and save the dates, remember the festival has expanded over 9 days this year!
– Browse the program, check out the 80+ films, shorts, and docos. Watch the trailers online, and then mark the events you wish to attend. Tip use the Wishlist tool online.
– Enter our competition to win a double Platinum Pass and 4 nights accommodation.
– Book in the partner, BAE, plus 1, friend, the whole gang or ask that special person you’ve been meaning to ask.     

Step 2: Purchase Tickets
– Consider a Multi Cinepass, if you plan to attend multiple screenings, this pass covers 6 general screenings and will save you a tidy 30%. 
Flick it Forward program shares the love of film. Simply go halves with CinefestOZ, to buy a ticket to donate to one of our community groups.
– Buy tickets online, get them early as the popular events usually sell out, save them to your wallet.

Step 3: Accommodation and Travel
– If you are heading Down South to the festival, book yourself some accommodation, options range from luxury resorts, caravan parks, or even a mate’s couch will do.
– Plan your trip, whether you’re driving or flying, plan out your adventure, make it reel safe, see some sites on your way.
– Pack clever, bring a few layers to stay warm and comfortable, and bring a jacket for cooler evenings.

Step 4: Prepare and Stay Informed

ADDITIONAL TOURISM EXPERIENCES

  • Sip your way around the region on a Guided Wine tour or at your own pace with a skipper.   • Open Studios Margaret River is also on the second weekend of the festival, which means you can visit the personal studios of acclaimed creatives by day and take in a new film by night. 
  • Make a stop in at the iconic Busselton Jetty, which is the longest jetty in the Southern Hemisphere stretching an amazing 1.8 kilometers out to sea. One of the films screening at CinefestOZ is Busselton Jetty – A Sea Of Discovery  an immersive documentary that chronicles the remarkable journey of the Busselton Jetty Artificial Reef project. 
  • Breathe in the freshest air and epic views as you hike along the Cape to Cape Track, keeping your eyes open to see the burst of Spring wildflowers.
  • Head underground with an Aboriginal cultural guide to experience on of the region’s ancient cave structures peppered along the coastal road connecting Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin.
