A guest of CinefestOZ this year is Adam Elliot, an Australian stop-motion animation filmmaker based in Melbourne, Australia. Joining us to celebrate the WA premiere of MEMOIR OF A SNAIL. His films, both shorts and a feature, have collectively participated in over seven hundred film festivals and have received over one hundred awards, including an Academy Award for Harvie Krumpet. Hannah Diviney, who plays Norah in AUDREY, is a leading writer, disability and women’s rights advocate from Sydney. Damon Gameau brings his latest work, FUTURE COUNCIL to CinefestOZ this year, which sees him travel through several European countries with a motley crew of eight schoolkids, all of whom have their sights set on changing the world. Jackie Van Beek, an all-round NZ talent, stars in AUDREY, an Aussie dark comedy portraying a former soap star whose career and life have been derailed. She stars in Nude Tuesday as Laura, hilariously trying to mend her marriages sex life, and as desperate vampire familiar in What we do in the Shadows
