CinefestOZ takes Reel Adventure On the Road – FREE films and filmmaking workshops to hit regional WA!
Communities across regional Western Australia are set to experience the magic of Australian film like never before, with the launch of CinefestOZ On the Road, a new initiative delivering free screenings and filmmaking experiences across the state.
Designed to expand access to screen culture, CinefestOZ On the Road connects regional audiences with Australian stories while creating opportunities for creative learning and industry engagement.
CinefestOZ CEO Cassandra Jordan said the program reflects a strong commitment to inclusivity and regional connection.
“We believe that living in regional WA shouldn’t mean having less access to new Australian stories, cinematic experiences or screen education,” she said. “On the Road is about connecting communities, inspiring creativity and ensuring regional audiences can share the magic of Australian film.”
The program will deliver a series of free screenings, bringing Australian feature films and award winning short films to towns without traditional cinema access. Alongside the screenings, local schools will take part in CinefestOZ’s long running Cinesnaps program, designed to spark creativity and inspire the next generation of storytellers.
