Submissions are now open for the 2022 Festival.Submissions are open from the 1st of December 2021 until 1st of June 2022. Filmmakers will be notified as to the outcome of their submission in early July 2022. The CinefestOZ Film Prize is Australia’s Largest Film Prize and awarded to an Australian feature film displaying excellence in the craft of filmmaking. The CinefestOZ Short Film Competition will be awarded to Australian Shorts for excellence in filmmaking, during the CinefestOZ Film Festival, held 24 – 28 August 2022 in the Margaret River region of Western Australia. Submissions for official selection and short film for the 2022 festival were invited to enter in the categories for Australian films and Australian co-productions:
The Festival’s Film program returns in 2022. The program offers an exciting opportunity for Australian filmmakers to showcase their shorts and offer further diversity to the festival audience. The final selection of Western Australian, Australian and French Short and feature length films will be screened at CinefestOZ as a part of its popular program. Feature and Short Film Set screenings showcase filmmaking talent through events with interactive filmmaker Q&As in Busselton, Dunsborough, Bunbury, Margaret River and Augusta.
