Submissions are open for the 13th CinefestOZ Film Festival and Australia’s Richest Film Prize and close 3 July 2020.
The $100,000 Film Prize will be awarded to an Australian feature film for excellence in filmmaking, during the CinefestOZ Film Festival, held 24 – 30 August 2020 in the Margaret River region of Western Australia.
Shortlisted films vying for the Film Prize will premiere in Western Australia at CinefestOZ Film Festival.
Submissions for official selection and short film for the 2020 festival are invited in the categories for Australian films and Australian co-productions:
- Film Prize Submission
- Official Selection Submission – for narrative and documentary feature length films
- Short Film Submission
- XR/VR – Expression of Interest
Indigenous films are encouraged to enter all appropriate categories.
The Festival’s Short Film program returns in 2020. The program offers an exciting opportunity for Australian filmmakers to showcase their shorts and offer further diversity to the festival audience.
The final selection of Western Australian, Australian and French Short films will be screened at CinefestOZ as a part of its popular Short Film Set program. Short Film Set screenings showcase filmmaking talent through events with interactive filmmaker Q&As in Busselton, Dunsborough, Bunbury Margaret River and Augusta.
