CinefestOZ Albany will come back to the Great Southern for its third year from 27- 30 April.

The Festival will showcase fabulous Australian stories through film and build upon the success of the past two years.

We have been successful in securing Triennial funding from The City of Albany. The City of Albany is a Major and largest funder, providing crucial support to the long term development of this significant arts event.

Albany locals are being encouraged to invite friends and family to join them in the beautiful Great Southern for four days of premiere film screenings and special events in the region’s cinemas and picturesque venues, where they will get the chance to rub shoulders with filmmakers and special guests.

We are now seeking Movie Crew applications as well as interns based in the Great Southern.

The Albany Advisory Committee also recently met up. The members have diverse backgrounds and skill sets, which are invaluable to the festival’s development.

The full program will launch on 29 March with passes soon to be available. CinefestOZ Albany 2023 will feature Opening and Closing Night events, free community screenings, a Short Film set and will also incorporate the Cinesnaps schools program. Sponsored by Rio Tinto, Cinesnaps offers extraordinary opportunities through a program of carefully selected films, visiting filmmakers, online film content and an exciting Short Film Competition.
