We are so excited to announce the pre-release of tickets today to celebrate its 15th year showcasing some of Australia’s greatest films in WA’s beautiful South West.

The 2022 festival, which is being held from 23- 28 August 2022, is set to be another incredible year with 270 film screenings and events to be held at over 35 venues in Busselton, Margaret River and Bunbury.

Our pre-release tickets include special film screenings on the opening and closing nights of the festival, film industry passes and free community events.

CEO, Malinda Nixon, said that this homegrown event has now become one of the great film festivals in Australia and its growth and success has paralleled that of the Western Australian film industry.

“It has been a pleasure to be part of the festival and see it continue to grow, while retaining its grassroots nature and connection with local communities who volunteer every year to make the event a success,” Ms Nixon said.

“We’re looking forward to celebrating our 15th year with a huge range of films and events that appeal to locals and visitors from across WA, as well as interstate travellers on the new Melbourne to Busselton Jetstar flights.”

CinefestOZ would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land we live and work on, and pay our respect to the Elders past, present and future.

We thank our Presenting Partner Tourism WA, Premium Partners Screenwest and Lotterywest , City of Busselton and Community Partner Rio Tinto. The festival acknowledges its strong support from Screen Australia.
