Founded in 2014 by Kristina Ceyton and Samantha Jennings, CAUSEWAY FILMS is a leading Australian production company known for bold, socially relevant storytelling. Launching with Jennifer Kent’s acclaimed THE BABADOOK (Sundance 2014), Causeway continued with major successes like TALK TO ME (Sundance 2023), the debut of Danny & Michael Philippou, which sold to A24 and became their highest-grossing genre release.

Other highlights include THE NIGHTINGALE (Jennifer Kent, Venice 2018), YOU WON’T BE ALONE (Sundance 2022), and HOUSEKEEPING FOR BEGINNERS (Venice 2024). Recent releases include BRING HER BACK (2025), Danny & Michael Philippou’s second film starring Sally Hawkins, which won 10 AACTA Awards. Upcoming, LEVITICUS, Adrian Chiarella’s debut feature, sold to NEON at Sundance and released in Australian in June 2026, and Dario Russo’s THE FOX which debuted at SXSW Austin in March 2026. Ceyton and Jennings received the 2026 AACTA Byron Kennedy Award.
