Tegan Higginbotham is an award-winning comedian, actor, and one of Australia’s most versatile up-and-coming screenwriters. With a bounty of experience across film, television, radio, and live performance – she’s known for her passion, energy, and unique perspective.

Her first feature, Jones Family Christmas, was released on Stan in November 2023. She is also the head writer of the new Stan Original Series Gnomes, co-written with Paul F. Verhoeven.

In 2026, Tegan wrote and produced her first short film, Legolas69, which was selected to screen at The St Kilda Short Film Festival.

On screen, Tegan is best known for her roles in feature films Oddball and Holding The Man, and television roles including Nowhere Boys, This is Littleton, Ground Up, and Molly. She took home the award for Best Comedy Performance at the 2026 Festival de Cine Independiente de Madrid for her starring role in the Screen Australia supported webseries, Displaced.
