Sam’s second feature, “King of Peking”, world premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival and went on to play the BFI London, Warsaw, and Stockholm international film festivals. That film was released worldwide by Netflix in 2018, receiving positive reviews in the New York Times, Rolling Stone, and Los Angeles Times. Sam’s screenplay for that film was invited to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences library, as part of their permanent collection.
