Julia is a multi-award winning Executive Producer, Producer, Director and Writer, Managing Director of Prospero Productions in Perth, Western Australia. In 1998 her highly acclaimed directorial debut, Paying for the Piper, was nominated for two AFI awards, a Royal Television Society award and won the Golden Spire Award at the 2000 San Francisco Film Festival. Julia has made over 300 hours of television, recently producing live action fulldome films, Ningaloo – Australia’s Other Great Reef, Whale Super Highway, which she wrote and directed, and Star Dreaming where the art and star stories of Yamaji artists combine with science to tell the story of the stars. Julia is one of the leading figures in the Australian film industry an active in the screen industry as Deputy Chair of Screen Voice, a member of the Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPA) and on the Screenwest Industry Advisory Group (IAG).
