Bec is a producer, writer, actor who has worked in different sectors of media, film and TV including journalism, partnerships, digital marketing and producing most recently at the ABC before she co-founded New Media Production Company COCKATOO COLAB, the production vehicle for 600 BOTTLES OF WINE (Netflix Australia/NZ, BBC, CBC, YLE, TVNZ, Network Ten, ABC Iview). Bec also runs a remote creative agency, RURAL ROOM, which represents a nationwide network of creatives and media makers from all over regional Australia. She’s the Producer of 600 BOTTLES OF WINE, Associate Producer of VISIBLE FARMER, a 15-part web series highlighting women in the regions, the Associate Producer and Regional Production Manager of BLUEBACK; an ARENAMEDIA feature film based on the popular book by Tim Winton. She’s the Co-Producer of comedy web series, THE FIVE MINUTE CALL, which is currently in post-production, produced in partnership with ARENAMEDIA. Bec wrote, produced and performed in her scripted 7-part short-form series, HOMESPUN, supported by SCREENWEST and TELSTRA, which will be released in 2021. In 2018 Bec was named in the AFR 100 Women of Influence for her innovative approach to storytelling and her inclusion of regional voices.
