Ross MaCallum

Recently described as a mini polymath, Ross is a filmmaker, art historian, anthropologist, ceramic artist, and event director. After retiring from two decades of tertiary lecturing, he has dedicated his time to promoting art and events. He plays an integral role in Fremantle’s vibrant music scene, coordinating events like Fremantle Carnivale and music gigs at the Fremantle Fibonacci Centre, as well as managing the Fairbridge Festival. His passion for storytelling continues through documenting indigenous, environmental, and artistic stories, including the award-winning documentary Salt of the Earth.
