Writer and documentary filmmaker Wendy Champagne started out as a freelance journalist for The Age and Sydney Morning Herald before pursuing longer form, visual stories farther afield. Her first film BAS! won numerous major awards. Other films from Cuba, Montreal and The Arctic followed, focusing on women and social issues. Her latest, Aquarius, is a film from home, that tells a story of hippies, radicals and the power of coming together to make change.
