Devina is a proud Widi, Mullewa Wadjari Yamatji and Noongar woman, who currently works on Wadjuk Noongar Boodja as the Indigenous Manager at Screenwest.Devina is responsible for Screenwest development and production funding programs involving Western Australian Indigenous practitioners and content.Her previous experience includes being the Producer and Production Manager for a decade at the Film and Television Institute, where Devina brought a hundred Indigenous Western Australian Elders and Community stories to the screen through the archival and factual program Indigenous Community Stories, which is currently in Canberra at AIATSIS.  Devina has also previously worked with numerous broadcasters, including the ABC Deadly Yarns series, and various features, festivals and short films. Prior to that Devina also worked freelance as a Photographer, Event Manager, Camera Operator and Editor.Devina is passionate about bringing First Nations stories to audiences around the world and to tell our unique stories our way. To nurture First Nations talent, and elevate our voices to be heard and celebrated. ‘It’s time we told it from our perspective and gave a voice to the once were silenced.’
